Dear all,
This has
been an amazing experience in which we shared four different stages talking
about “Diversity and Cultural Awareness” with schools from Ukraine, Cordoba and
San Juan. Each stage had its conditions.
In the
first part we did an introduction in which we presented ourselves in a video
and we talked about our free time, our school and leisure activities. We also
included a picture of the group in Mendel and from the school´s premises and
campus. What´s more we produced a word cloud talking about our partner schools’
introductions after watching them.
The second
stage consisted in a photobucket in which the students published pictures which
showed their families, pets, friends and holidays. This was hard work but
mostly enjoyable.
After
finishing this, we produced a brochure in which we tried to show WHERE DO WE
COME FROM? with a pie, old pictures and references to traditions, music, food and religion brought
to Argentina by our ancestors.
At present
we are cooking our final presentation that will deal with our lives in
Argentina nowadays.
Watching
and reading our partners´ responses has been a very enlightening experience
because it has increased our awareness of cultural differences or diversity
among people of our own age.
